Levande Musik ger Hissmusiken ett ansikte! Under flera års flanerande på Bok&Bibliotek drömde vi om ett eget rumför stadens fria musikarrangörer. En plats där det kreativa mångfasetterade larmet i utställningshallarna tvärt kunde ersättas av en kontemplativ klang att vila öronen och sinnena i. Vid en första kontakt med fruar Bok&Bibliotek, Anna Falck och Gunil-la Sandin, förstod vi att iden var god och utvecklingsbar, men att alla tänkbara lokaler var upptagna år 2008. ALLA lokaler? Det var då vi släppte vår idé om hissmusik. Det var då det började tindra i ögonen på Anna och Gunilla: HISSEN! Det var sen som vi provåkte HISSEN, konstaterade att åkturen ända upp tar exakt 30 sekunder, och började utarbeta vår idé.
Levande Musik gives elevator music a profile! For many years we wandered around Göteborg Book Fair dreamingthat one day we would have our own room for independent concert ar-rangers in the city of Göteborg, a place where the creative, many facet-ted noises of exhibition halls would instantly be substituted by contemplative sounds which would soothe the ears and senses. From our first contacts with Anna Falck and Gunilla Sandin of the Book Fair, we understood that the idea was worth doing and developing, but that all possible rooms were occupied during 2008. ALL ROOMS? It was then that we presented our idea about elevator music. It was also then that it began to sparkle in the eyes of Anna and Gunilla. THE ELEVATOR! It was then that we tried out the elevator, discovered that thetrip to the top took exactly 30 seconds, and began developing our idea.I början på sommaren skickade vi ut en uppmaning att skriva ny hissmusik.Vi fick in närmare 200 verk av 155 tonsättare från hela världen. Alla stycken är 30 sekunder långa, för så lång tid tar färden från lobbyn till 23:våningen (och vice versa). Nedanstående 11 stycken valdes ut för att spelas under dessa tre dagar. Varje dag en ny musiker, ett nytt instrument.
Before the summer a ”Call for scores” was announced. In response we re-ceived almost 200 works by 155 composers from all over the world. All works with a duration of 30 seconds, the time it takes for the elevator to go from entry level to 23th floor (or vice versa).The following 11 works has been chosen for performance during these three days. Each day a different musician will perform the music.
